GIGBYTE AORUS COMPABILITY

Hello, I recieved a dead mobo (confirmed) previously and I am looking to buy a new one. Now I have read about different motherboards and I want this Gigabyte Aorus K7. My current build was set up to support a Asus Z170-a so I have:
- NZXT 410 Phantom
- Intel i5 - 7600k
- Cryorig H7 cooler
- EVGA NVIDIA GTX 970 SSC
- Crucial Ballistik DDR4-2400
- Antec TruePower Quattro 1000W

I hear this Mobo doesn't work with 7 gen right out of the box, that it needs a Bios Update. Also heard that it doesn't work off the bat with 2400 Ram and won't boot unless its a DDR4-2133.

My questions:
Can someone confirm that the board doesn't work with 7gen off the bat?

If i get someone to update the Bios with a 6th gen chip and a 2133 Ram will i be able to use my 2400 Ram after without any issues?

Any other errors anyone else has encountered?

Your input is greatly appreciated!

Unless you receive a board with the newest BIOS, 100-series chipsets are not compatible with Kaby Lake out of the box - simply because Kaby lake was launched more than a year later than the 100-series chipsets.

As for RAM, all RAM can run at standard JEDEC speeds, which is what it'll do unless you manually activate XMP. As such, you'll be fine.
