Gigaram question. New Ram better than OCZ/Corsair?

Banned
I have been shopping for good ram and everywhere I look they say buy Corsair XMS or OCZ. But I checked this Ram and found out $17 cheaper than Corsair and better Cas Latency(2-2-2-5) 2.6V for AMD compared to Corsair XMS 2.5-2-2-6. It costs $118 1gig dual at newegg vs. corsair $135
Everone is confused w/ corsair advertizing at 2-2-2-6 not knowing that is for Intel and AMD will run at 2.5-2-2-6. But this Ram(Gigaram) rans at 2-2-2-5 for AMD and everyone bought it are very happy w/ performance.
NOW the Q? is : Does anyone know any info on this Ram?
Below is link to this ram at newegg. please check it out and let me know if this is a good buy compared to Corsair/OCZ/Patriot
Thanks
Gigaram at Newegg

Ya, please post what kind of chips these things use. These look interesting, and I just got a budget of 700 to use on a new computer so these might fit the bill.

If you are looking for 939 mobo. newegg has reduced the MSI mobo to $83
and if you have ur old AGP card, mwave.com has chaintech S1689 for $49(939 mobo) w/ AGP slot

Chintech S1689 MOBO at mwave.com

Hacp,
also if you are looking for a good case w/ 400 watt PSU Codegen has a good case for $39.50. I bought a gray case but apparantly newegg does not have it anymore. the blue case is same spec. Notice anandtech had chosen this case for value buyers.
Also the PSU is a true 400 watt w/ big fan under, not on the back, another + for this case for the price. It has very good air circulation design. check it out.

There was a topic about it at ocforums when they first appeared and they turned out to OC terribly.

Would you please provide a link to that review.
Was it on the same Ram? the reason I am asking is because this is brand new version and has just been shipped out. For the review i see, it sounds good. But to be sure i would appreciate it if you post the link to that review you mentioned.
thanks

I think nanya.
Below is link to newegg reviews on 512 ram and a poster says Nanya

more reviews on Gigaram

Hacp,
I was wrong about the chipset Gigaram uses. Apparantly they use TCCD chipset
Below is a benchmark on this ram by InsaneTeck. It says this Ram is great overclocker and as it shows does better that corsair and ocz revision2 the test got 295 mhz (590 mhz)
Wow.. what a ram for the price. I am buying this.
Gigaram benchmark

OMFG TCCD? Are you sure? If this is right, i'm jumping in right now. BTW, i'm going sff so i dun need your choices. Thanks anyways though, and those were well thought out.

Edit: Nvm those are the PC3700 versions.... I think the PC3200 uses the stated chips. Can't be that good of a deal, and it generally takes 2.7-2.8 volts to get 2-2-2-6 with TCCD at DDR400 anyways.

Well i asked you please provide the source of "OC trerribly" , but you never did.
So I went searching and found otherwise. This Ram accoriding to InsaneTek does decent overclocking, and better than OCZ and Corsair/price comparison to performance.
Below is the link.
I would have liked you backing your claim. By doing so your statement would have been credible. But as of now it is unfounded and foolish.

there is another review there on 3500 and it uses TCCD. But for 3200, I am not sure.
But for the price and the review it gets I think it is a good buy. i went ahead and bought it thru. newegg. if I am not happy w/ it I will try OCZ or other brands. But getting 235 fsb out of it, is enough for me since my mobo is a cheapo.

Newegg sells the Gigaram 1gig dual DDR3500 for $115, and it is TCCD chip.
But I dont understand why this is $3 cheaper than DDR3200. Could it because the 3200 w/ lower latency also uses TCCD so has to cost more?
i have emailed them to find out about their 3200 chipset.
will post it when i recieve a reply from them.

As you can see it is garbage.

what you posted here is another forum"just like this one" and I didnt see any link to a benchmark or review. But by scrolling thru. the posts that is more than 1 years old, I see there are those asking about this ram being TCCD and those wanting to know more and those who say it is a good Ramm.
So where did you see the ram being "garbage" ?

Ok this stuff isn't garbage. Better than corsair value select. Can at least do 2-2-2-5 at 2.5 volts which is pretty good.

Wow, this Gigaram is basically a scam! :Q

If you read thru the thread KoolDrew posted, you'll see that no one could even get the RAM running at it's rated speeds stable, nvm. OCed, lol

IOW, it's pure sh!t.

Nvm this thing is fking expensive. Your better off with value VX UTTs if you can supply the volts. I'm pretty sure 3.1 volts on the Epox can get 220 at tight timings easily.

[B

g.skill is one of the oldest memory manufacturers. you will probablly get around 240mhz+ with lose timings with the g.skill memory

How are the posts more then 1 year old? The original post was made two months ago. If you also read later on you would realize it is pure garbage.

Well, I saw the date wrong. it was the time joind. but it is still old post. reading the end i see people trying to do outrageous clocking. the review by insaneTek says the TCC... chips dont do well on very tight timing and this ram does not take more than 2.9v.
I didnt say it is super ram. All I was interested was decent overclocking and not crazy stuff. for the price comparison i thought it is good.
I dont care who sells what. and am not a fanboy freak of any .
I bought it today and I will know when I get it. If it does not do well as it spec then I through it back at them... and so what.
actually i was going to buy Corsair CMX 3200 and I read about 80 review on it at newegg and the conclusion was a mediacre for high $. So looked around and I saw this Ram. If it is a scam then I have been had. But at least I know I didnt pay $200 for just the name.

You can take your chances if you want. You asked for peoples opinions and they gave them to you. And yet your still arguing with them and not listening anyways. What was the purpose of your post?
