I was in the market for some good overclocking pc4000 2gb dual channel kits. After looking for a while, I decided to take a risk and buy some Gigaram branded sticks. The reviews on Newegg seem to be good and the specs and price is awesome. They're $30-50 less than comparable sticks. The last time I "took a risk" was on some G.Skills and they turned out to be pretty good.


Anyone have any experience with Gigaram?
 
I've bought a number of their cheap CAS 2.5 PC3200 modules. They were advertised on Newegg as such. When I received them, the sticker on them said PC3200 CAS 3. However, SPD says they're PC3200 CAS 2.5, and that's what they seem to run at just fine on default voltage. No problems with about 5 sticks of them. I'd rather they be labeled correctly though, since that may affect resale value.
 
The review on the AT website rated them pretty highly, I'm too lazy to go find you a link, but check out the memory reviews... its titled somthing like 1gb low-latency DIMM's.
 
well...I got them yesterday and popped them in. Ran memtest overnight at specified timings and slightly higher than specified speeds (252mhz DDR504 at 3-4-3-8)

Ran without any problems. I would say that they're a very good deal at under $200 for 2GB.
