I had a gigabyte GA-7DXR REV. 1.0 and i have an ATI AIW Radeon.

Just today, i'll show you how bad this board is. Just today i noticed one of the RAM DIMM slots is loose! I already had to replace the northbridge fan because that died.

I'm wondering if some kind of static discharge ran through my system? Or the motherboard has a short somewhere causing the video card to overheat? Or it could be something else. Or it could be coincidence or it could also be the drivers. Who knows ...

Agreed. They beat the pants off of crap like MSI, Soyo, and Abit. Of course, that's just IMHO.

I have two SOYOs and they run great! Never had a problem with either of them!!!! And my MSI board is rock solid!! Now its time to have a flame war Soyo vs Gigabyte!

Just kidding. Although I have two soyos and have never had a problem and my MSI has never had a problem either. It seems like some people are just unlucky. I have never had to RMA anything. I have never had anything DOA or die on my. I have spend 5,000 + in the past two years on computer parts an no problems with shipping, damaged good, RMAs or anything. I even give places that have bad reviews a chance is they look like they are at least respectable. I guess I am just lucky so far but now that I have said something this new MSI based computer (its in boxes) next to be might be DOA who knows.

I must say though I have hear more people state that they had to RMA a MSI then I have hear of people saying they have had to RMA a Gigabyte. And I have never hear anyone say they have had to RMA a soyo but I am sure there are plenty. :)

I have a Gigabyte 71X still going strong in my wifes computer.
But I'll take my Abit KR7A Raid board anyday.
I thought of getting another gigabyte but too many threads on problems with them lately.
