AM i doing something wrong?

there are two sticks of supertalent ram in it, one core2duo 4300 and im connnecting the front panel power switch dongle, and the atx 24pin mobo connector, and then the 4pin mobo 12v power connector. but it wont power up, brand new earthwatts powersupply 500.
i had to cram my radeon 9800 pro 128mb into the pci-e x16 slot. i think its not fitting right. (jk)

same setup works fine on my asrock dual vsta with the exact components.

is my gigabyte ds3 DOA?

Typically when a system is stone dead like this its either a problem with the switch which you can test by using a screwdriver or other metal object to short the pins for the power button, if this doesnt work then try testing the power supply by jumpering a paperclip between the green wire and a black, this should start the power supply. Make sure you do this with the power supply disconnected from the system and preferably outside the case. The third problem is that the board could be grounding out on the case, make sure there arent any superfluous stand offs hitting the bottom of the board.

If all that fails, remove everything except the cpu and 1 stick of ram and try to boot. Failing that you probably have a bad motherboard

holy smokes... radical was right, there was a ground on on the board with the case. i had not removed the old screw settings for my previous board in the case, and one of the little brass screw recepticals was grounding something out on the back of the mobo. i repositioned the screws and it is working fine now. jeesus thank you so much. i bought this board for 65 bucks at mwave open box, it had a 15 day warranty, i was getting nervous. sheesh, thanks for all the help, i really feel kinda stupid now.
