In my CPU & OCing threadI've been told that the P965-DS3 (mine is a Rev1.0) and Quad Core overclocking do not mix. Something about the PWMs not being able to handle the OC.
I've had my P965-DS3 Rev1.0 for 16 months now. It's been running an overclocked E6400 at 3.2GHz (8x400) the entire time, rock solid stable.
I know the board's BIOS supports Quad Core; it has since 3 BIOS revisions ago. I have a good power supply (Corsair 620HX).
Should I go for the Quad overclock or not? I'm not looking for 4.0GHz on air. I'm looking at 3.2GHz (maybe 3.6) on air with good air cooling.
What say you, AT?
