Gigabyte P45-UD3R or ASUS P5Q Pro?

These two motherboards are within $5 of each other at Newegg.

Is one better than the other in terms of stability, build quality, manufacturer support, etc.?

I'm not a serious gamer. I'll be running an Intel Q8200 (the 95W version); two SATA hard-drives; one SATA DBD burner; and at most a Radeon HD 4670 graphics card. I may try mild overclocking, but nothing very fancy.

I would appreciate your thoughts.

I am very happy I switched from my Maximus II Formula to a UD3R - VERY HAPPY

I recommend Gigabyte hands down for quad-core overclocking enthusiasts.

EDIT: currently testing my Q9650 with Prime95 blend @ 8.5x500 - 1hr so far

I'm also using the UD3R...I just got it 3 days ago, so I can't say much, other than it's a nice board with lots of great features and it beats the crap out of my troublesome Abit IP35-E.

Q9650 @5095ghz which I believe is world record for a quad was achieved by someone with a UD3P at XS.

UD3R FTW!

With minimal effort and time; I have my UD3P running my Q9550 @ 4250mhz @ 1.3v

The gigabyte boards have got to be the best mobo for quads ever!
