Gigabyte is definitely the better gaming laptop. The quad core and currently top of the line nvidia 980m should tell you that. Of course you have to pay for that with added expense, weight, heat and poor battery life...

I'm not quite sure why you're even asking :S
the gigabyte has better specs: quadcore vs dualcore, higher clock rate, higher end GPU, more storage

the 2 notebooks aren't even close in gaming performance, given the 850m vs 980m.
The only major difference is probably price. The p37 is generally much more expensive than the ASUS
