Gigabyte P35C-DS3R Overvolting RAM

Running bios version F12a dated 07/29/08. Normal volts it sets it at 2.0v (says so in bios PC Health and CPUID), setting it at +.1 also sets it at 2.0v.

My RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16820231122) is suppose to be run at 1.8-1.9v. Memtest is failing occasionally and so are stress tests (prime95, linpack) that use a lot of ram, and I'm starting to wonder if this is the reason for it.

I really don't know what I can do at this point, other than new ram.. My question is, if I get ram that is rated at 2.0-2.1v, is my motherboard going to think normal is 2.2v and I'll be in the same situation? lol

 
You can manually set your voltages to whatever your ram may need in bios. As for failing, there are a few reasons why it is:

You could have a bad chip so, test each one individually.

Are you overclocking your cpu, and if so, is your ram over clocked?<------Make sure it is set at a 1:1 ratio to lower the OC on your memory.

How much ram do you have? If you are over clocking, your NB voltage may need to be bumped up a notch. There are many variables to reach an unstable situation and you have to isolate it down. If you need more info on what is going on, go to this THREAD, and it will help you understand a bit more.
 
I can't manually set it to whatever I want. It is only Normal or +.1 to +.5

I did test each one individually for 12 passes in memtest and they seemed ok. When used together they error.

Ram is not overclocked. I have 2x2Gb. If I overclock my cpu but not ram, I don't need to give it more NB voltage do I?

No. It will probably start you at 2.0V.
