I was really set for the p35c because of the ddr3/ddr2 support, because at a latter stage I might wanna get some ddr3 modules (if they drop significantly in price) - I ordered a q6600 and 4 gigs of ram (800mhz cl4 corsair) and it kinda annoys me not knowing when and whether the p35c will arrive with the other components being available.

So are there any other boards that offer the similar performance, feature set and ddr2/ddr3 duality?

Oh and this is my first post, hi everybody 🙂

Welcome to anandtech!

I got tired of looking for the same thing and settled for the P35-DS3R (same board, DDR2 only).

I would imagine that by the time DDR3 is reasonably priced, there will be better chipsets with improved DDR3 controllers anyway, so i just bit the bullet.

Good luck with your search though, i researched for a couple of days and couldnt find a worthy replacement for the p35c.

ummm the combo boards are kinda pointless since it is only DDR3-1333 supported i think...
by the time DDR3 is dominant over DDR2, it would be better to change your board anyways...

just get the P35-DS3R

I concur, I have this board and PC8500 memory in it. DDR3 can kiss my butt! 🙂

The Dq6? Well I heard it will be discontinued once X38 hits the streets but I couldn't care less about that. From what I've seen it looks like an awesome board, I'll post my thoughts on it once I have it here at home.
