Gigabyte P35 mobos : rev 2.0 out ?

Don't know if this has been posted before.

It appears that rev 2.0 of most Gigabyte P35 mobos are available - at least on the Gigabyte site.

For eg : rev 2.0 of GA-P35-DS3R : here.

Back panel has 8 USB ports.

Wonder what else is different and when They'll be releasing other V2 models, was in the market for a new MB(having a hard time deciding between the GA-P35-DS3R and the GA-P35-DQ6). Maybe I'll just hold off and see what shakes out

It seems that the serial & parallel ports are now available via headers.

And, the caps have been changed (?).

What do you mean by "the caps have been changed". For better, or for worse?

Also, I still much prefer the oldschool layout with the COM1 and LPT ports available via the ATX I/O bracket area.

Looks like I'll have to attempt to scoop up a mobo immediately, to ensure getting older stock.

The changes to the solid caps are merely cosmetic, I think - colors have been changed.

I finally opened up a DS3R that I ordered on 8/10. It's a Revision 1.0, which is fine with me if all they changed was the backplate. The front of my case complements the front USB connectors well, and I can't imagine needing more than 4 USB devices, much less 6 after connecting the front two, right now.
