Gigabyte or Asus SLi?

Your link is busted. Gigabyte and Asus only have 1 SLI board a piece.

ASUS A8N-SLI and Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI

So what's your question?

I think he meant that (at least for the ASUS board) there is the A8N SLI Deluxe or just the plain A8N SLI. The most noteable difference between the two flavors of the Asus A8N is that the Deluxe model adds an extra Yukon 1000Mbps ethernet port (for 2 total) and an extra set of Silicon SATA Raid controller ports next to the nVidia nForce 4 controllers for a total 8 SATA plugs. The non Deluxe has only 1 ethernet port and 1 SATA controller respectively.

There are two Gigabyte boards as well. The GA-K8NXP SLI and the GA-K8NU or Ultra SLI (seen listed as either). The latter lacks the DPS module, the wireless card, and has a passive northbridge heatsink. Otherwise it appears identical to the K8NXP.

I would think the K8NU would make for a nice quiet setup, but there is a lack of reviews on the board and you'll likely want your system to have adequate airflow to deal with any northbridge heat. However I can't recommend either as I don't own either. I just happen to be looking into the Gigabyte boards. BTW, the K8NU is $20 - $30 cheaper than the K8NXP over at ZZF.

Good luck.

I am looking into either an Asus or a Gigabyte too. I am going to build a very silent system, so it is either an Asus with replacing the HSF with a Zalman heatsink, or the GA-K8N Ultra-SLI. As you say, there are nil reviews on the Ultra-SLI :
I would like to know more about it.
