I will be running a system:

AMD 64 3200+ or 3500+
2 x 1Gb Corsair Value ram
2 x 250Gb Seagate NCQ
LEadtek 6600GT Extreme
Tagan 480W

Now my question is, which board is faster, more stable, has better equipment ... ?

I will NOT overlock my system, so in the first place I need a motherboard that is stable and doesn't couse too much problems ...

DFI's board is solid all-around, so even if you don't OC i'd consider it. It comes down to your budget really. If you can afford the DFI i'd get it personally.

The Gigabyte is fast, stable and feature rich; If you are not concerned about overclocking potential, then this might be the board for you.

1. DFI
2. Asus
3. Abit, MSI

Gigabyte isn't among the top teir manufacturers. They do include a LOT on their motherboards however they tend to skimp on quality sometimes.

Some differences:
Looks like the Gigabyte includes a wireless lan card and has 1394b instead of the typical 1394a ports. It also has more Sata connections by means of another controller chip (only 1.5gb tho)

Gigabyte is one of the top manufacturers and are very good quality. They are not an overclockers motherboard for sure, but the are rock solid. I would pick a Gigabyte motherboard over Abit and MSI any day of the week.

MSI used to have a very horrid reputation, and ASUS one of the very best. It's amazing how times have changed. In the last year or so, ASUS has started going downhill, and MSI is considered acceptable based on their last two offerings. ABIT has also gone through some very shaky times, both financially and technically - although, currently they build some really solid boards.

Anyway, Gigabyte is a solid board if you don't plan on overclocking, but if you do, then it's DFI all the way. Not only does DFI use quality parts, but they seem amazingly receptive to customer feedback concerning features and bug fixes - a real plus in my book.

Hmm ... it would help me more if there were only posts recommending only DFI or Gigabyte ... :)

Well, I gues DFI is better as I have heard lately, but Gigabyte seems to be a good motherboard too. So I gues I will take one that comes to our shops first. DFI is cheper which is good :) but I somehow I like the looks of Gigabyte ... damn! Its hard to deside! :)

ZipZoomFly.com:

DFI nf4 Ultra - 164$
Gigabyte nf4 Ultra - 219$

There is a big difference in price!

I have always had great luck with Gigabyte. However, the DFI board got an amazing review here at Anandtech.

I think I would go with them this time.

I am saying this as I just bought a Gigabyte motherboard and love it, but that DFI looks like a great buy.

The dfi is easy to work with and can have sli capabilities if modded,

it is priced at 149.99 at Newegg.com a fairly decent price for such an amazing board

You can also mod the vdimm up to 4.0v with jumpers

Combined with the ocz vx modules and ocz booster that will be one hell of a system.

I suggest the DFI, stability, overclockability, upgradability,

COOLability ( because dfi boards are cool)
