Gigabyte K8NF-9 problems!

Hi, i recently got a k8nf-9 mobo, and im having a few weird probs with it.
I just cant get speedfan to load up, it installs fine, but when it loads for the first time it freezes, and i have to manully restart my pc to get rid of it.
I tried using /smbdebug in dosprompt, and it passed ok, and then loaded but said no chipset supported or something. I then tried /nosmartscan and it finally loaded ok, but im not sure if its reading right after all that, as i cant adjust fan speeds etc..

Also which mobo drivers do i use? i first installed the ones off the cd, then i installed the ones off the website(manully searching my mobo model, the versions were more uptodate), then i came across something on the website called gigabyte go? where it checks my system, and again it gave me different versions and drivers. So i installed those aswell(thinking that they're updates).
It installed marvell miniport driver(its in the add/remove list) and when i was installing the nforce drivers(iirc) it asked me if i wanted to install something with SW in it, i clicked ok(i never came across these two with the cd install).
Also in the task manager it has nvraidservice.exe, is this normal?

I havent set up raid or anything like that.

thanks for anyhelp, it would be greatly appreciated.

did it freeze when detecting the second sata hdd, did you try the /NOSMARTSCAN switch?

I installed Easytune5, but its so simple and ugly, just gives some info. I really want to control the cpu fan as its at 3200rpm(is that normal?) even though i have smart fan enabled.

Hi, I recently got the same problem, wich I didn't have before. I got the same error that speedfan can't read I/O and then it freezes. I don't have EasyTune 5 installed, wich I did before, so I think maybe you msut install EasyTune5 to "unlock" the probe reading. Also I disabled fan and cpu monitoring in the bios, wich were on before. I will try to reactivate all this and see if speedfan works again.

actually upgrading to the nvidia nforce 6.53 solved this problem, and can use speedfan now, but fans cant be adjusted, and the voltage reading are abit stuffed.

Are you overclocking?

I'm not 'intentionally' overclocking, but the BIOS automatically set my CAS3 Samsung RAM to 2.5 and its running silky smooth. Are you running with 5x Hyper Transport (I'm not). Also, are you running with the F2 BIOS?
