I recently bought this motherboard with the thought of trying crossfire at the future,i got r9 380x and was planning to buy one more in the future to use the 2 way amd crossfire but i sure as hell cant understand how this works. Is it worth it?
I read on the specifications of the motherboard this text :
"1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16), 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4) * The PCIEX4 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX1_2 slot. The PCIEX1_2 slot is not available when you install PCIe x4 card . * The PCIEX4 slot will run until x1 speed if PCIEX1_2 slot is occupied by card , 2 x PCI Express x1 slots, 2 x PCI slots"
i m not familiar with crossfire or SLI could someone please elaborate and explain this?

You can do XFIRE with the two PCIE X16 slots.

If you also put any card in the PCIEX1 slot number 2, it will cut the bandwidth for your second GPU card.

From the CPU socket down:

PCIE X1 #1 short
PCIE X16 long
PCIE X1 #2 short
PCIE X16 long - running at X4 and labeled PCIEX4

PCI #1
PCI #2

First of all thanks for the answers,it helped a lot.

So this means that if i use a r9 380x on the x16 and a second r9 380x on the x4 as long as i dont use the PCIEX1 slot number 2 for tv tuner, lan card etc it will run x16/x4 right? will the x4 limit the second r9 380x's performance?
