Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 Users - Safe to run with the default water block? (air cooled)

So I got one of these GA-X58A-UD7 boards, and it failed to come with the silent pipe chipset heatsink. I've already asked gigabyte to send me one, but in the meantime, it's holding up the build...

Is it safe to run the board with just the default water block heatpipe assembly with just air cooling? Anyone out there just running it like this?

I have the GA-EX58-UD5, and the heatsink on my chipset is about the same size as the water block/headsink on the UD7, and mine runs perfectly fine (38C idle, 43C max load).

yeah, I noticed that's the same case as the old asus striker II extreme based on the 790i chipset.... water block/heatsink combo, ran just fine as is. Hmm
