Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 revision 1 vs revision 2 - What are the changes?

Hey all,

My question is rather simple: What are the hardware changes in the revision1 to revision2 in the Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 motherboard? (BIOS changes are not important, only hardware).

Also, if anyone happens to know - when was rev2 released aproximately?

And finally, if anyone can suggest a forum that is more specialized towards motherboard (or gigabyte motherboards spesifically), let me know. I know its a tough question so I want to up my changes of getting an answer by posting in the most appropritate/specialized forums.

I wish Gigabyte (and others) could just have info on changes like this availiable on their site. Why make it so goddamn hard to make an informed purchase?

Unfortunately no answer anywhere yet *sigh*

If it's a new model, new revision is likely an improvement. If it's an old model, sometimes they cut corners with later revisions.

Sorry this still doesn't answer your specific question but that kind of information is really hard to come by and verify.

Yea its a pretty new model, so what im afraid of that they got complaints about something that wasn't BIOS fixable. The only question really is how serious it was and wether it actually impacts the functions I care about. It dosn't seem like the rev2 is widely availiable here in Norway yet, but if I can't find out the revision info then I am sort of forced to search for a rev2 in fear of getting a faulty version.

according to gigabyte website, rev2.0 includes the ability to charge your iPod via its USB ports while the computer is off.
That seems to have also been made available for the rev1.0 via bios upgrade.
