Gigabyte GA-965G overclocking with video disabled

Received a GA-965G-DS3 as a gift. Requested a 965P, but got the 965G instead. Exchanging this would be difficult as it was purchased out of town by a relative.

Research seems to indicate that the GA965G does not oc as well as the GA965P. If the video is disabled, does this turn the 965G into the equivalent of the 965P in terms of oc'ing ability?

I'm just trying to decide if I should try to have this exchanged or not. It is a gift and I don't want to seem unappreciative by imposing on the giver to try to exchange it (I am also assuming that it wouldn't be a problem in actually having it exchanged).

From what I have read the G will never O/C as well it is a different chip. I would try to exchange it if possible. I will try to find you a link with more info.

You can expect a 315~330FSB overclock with it or any other (with BIOS support) G965 board at this time. It appears 350FSB is the max for SATA based systems due to the memory controller support for the X3000 graphics core.

Thanks for the responses. I will see if I can get this exchanged then.
