Reply please,Thanks.

budget? resolution? and you need to list ALL your pc specs in detail. crossfire probably needs to be the least of your concerns

a gtx460 768mb is probably going to be a good choice but please list the exact psu that you have because 650watt really doesn't say much. and what resolution is that 19 inch monitor? what is your operating system? you are going to need more than 2gb of ram to play all modern games smoothly on Vista or 7.

If your thinking cross fire with onboard vga, stop. What ever you get is going to be WAY more powerful that the 4290 DX 10.1 IGP. Trust me I have done the research, I have that same board with a 1055t.

of course you should get a card and that is what he is telling you. he is saying the same thing I did earlier about not worrying about going crossfire.

now if you would please answer the questions in post 5 we can give you the best suggestion for a card.

a gts450 or gtx460 768mb would be good at that res. you need to take a few seconds and open up your case to see the details of that psu. I cant imagine a 650 watts psu that would be a problem but some are complete junk.

and you still did not say what os that you are using. if you are using Vista or 7 then you need another 2gb of ram.

Ya, a gt460 768mb will be very fast at that rez. It would be a very good idea to get a look at your PSU. I think just about every one I have ever seen has a listing of the amp rating for each rail on the side. It will have the make and model also. The reason this is important is that every video card has different amperage draw and power connectors needed to operate. If we don't have the right info we could make a suggestion that may not work do to power constraints.

I have the same mobo although I run a 965. I use crossfire 5770s and it's pretty damn impressive. I do want to move to a faster single card though so I'm looking at the 6950 or 6970. I'll sell you my two 5770s for 200 if you want. 🙂

$150? 1440x900? Find the best hot deal you can on a GTX460 768mb. AFAIK they've been floating fairly close to the $100 range, which is amazing for that card. It will eat whatever you throw at it at that resolution. Put the $ saved into a ram pack. IIRC they have a special on 4GB DDR3 for $50 right now (AMD 890 chipset is DDR3 only right?).

I think even an HD5670/GT240 can game decently at that resolution lol, with all em rebates, they don't got for more than $70 nowadays.
