I need the floppy disk 'Promise Technology Driver Disk' for this motherboard. Mine didn't come with it and I have to have it before I can install my OS. If anyone out there has this motherboard and floppy please let me know and I'll issue you a little reward for sending it to me!

Tried it and had errors. I eventually gave up. I'm going for the RAID install with data on the drive now....

I had the same problem with xp asking for a diskette. I tried to copy the raid xp driver folder from the driver CD no go there either. I sent an email to G no response yet. I can't believe that the manual says to use the raid floppy. According to the "items included list" on the box it appears that there never was a floppy driver disk. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you have the CD, you do have the drivers, but you must put them on the floppy a certain way, which the directions do not show. I have built 2 servers with this board and I had the same problem when I built the first one. I don't remember the exact spot, but go to the folder on the CD that has the Promise 20276 controller drivers. There you will see about 7 files (don't remember the exact numbers) and the folders for the appropriate operating systems. Copy those 7 files and the folder, for the appropriate OS, onto a floppy. Then you start installing XP, press "F6" at the beginning so it will ask you for RAID drivers later. When it does, put in the floppy. It will see the 7 files and give a choice of 4 drivers to install. Choose the correct one (for some reason, I think it will be the 3rd choice, but don't hold me to it). Then whichever file on the floppy has the info, it will tell XP to go to the folder and get the correct driver. This will work. I posted at this same forum several months ago.

Good luck.
