Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+ and hard drives

Hey folks.

I have a Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+ board and I need a new, large hard drive. I have all of my regular IDE slots filled and the only ones available are those on the RAID controller.

Can I buy a new drive (say 200GB or so) and use it on that controller without being in RAID? I just want to make doubly sure before I spend the money.

Just thought I'd say this anyways.....
even if you can't use it without RAIDing, you can always buy an IDE controller card for like $20... they are very cheap.

Well, the problem is that I only have one PCI slot open and it's a 64/66MHz slot, so I would need (well, not need, but would like to get in order to save my 64/66 SCSI card) one of those expensive 64/66 IDE cards.

I guess it is an option though.

Thanks for the post.
