Gigabyte GA-71XE

I'm on second Motherboard of this model GA-71XE. It's OK, overclocks fine, but I can't get high performance video to work even with BIOs updates. Bought a Voodoo 5500. Could not get it installed. The monitor would shut off after the first WIN98 logo came up. Took it back, and got ATI all in wonder 128 Pro, 32 MB. Same thing. The monitor is Viewsonic 19 inch, PF790. The video card I currenctly have is an old diamond sealth, 4MB card. All is fine with that. Had a Diamond Viper 2, 770, it worked fine but failed after 1 yr. Looking for monster video and monster motherboard/CPU.
