Gigabyte Aurora vs Antec P182 (with another runner-up)

Need a case for my testing rig that's been outdoor ( 😀 ) for so long and I narrowed my choices down to these two.

Gigabyte Aurora 570

Antec P182 Gun Metal

My mobo is EVGA 680i and its stock cooling has been replaced with Thermalright HR-050-SLI. My budget is around $150 and the above NewEgg link is just to show the models. Will probably buy elsewhere I can get for cheaper. Another one that I thought of (with a little bit of stretch in budget) is Lian-Li G70.

Lian-Li G70B Removable mobo tray

As stated in the link, the main attraction of the Lian-Li case is the removable motherboard tray.

What do you guys think? I need to make a decision sort of quickly.

Thanks in advance!

To be honest with you, the G70 is starting to show its age in my opinion... I also do not believe it has a removable mobo tray. However, that said, the Lian-Li's are good cases. I would look at a 101B or even a PC-6070 (starts to show its age as well). You can get the 101 for around $180-190 (SilverPCs has them I believe, but I don't know about shipping...)

The Antec is a nice case as well. But to be honest with you, I would save the money and get the 180 for $70 at this point instead of the 182. There isn't that much of a difference between them.

Personally, I picked up a Lian-Li 201B for my next build, as I wanted the drive space....

If you are just going to Air cool the P-180 would be my choice if you dont mind working in a cramped area.
I didn't think I would like the case that great but it was the best i could aford at the time, with the door closed the noise lv is very low. I am using the stock fans with a old lan-Li front 120mm case fan from my old P-65 case. I use it on the top hard drive cage area with no hard drives in it makes for a good wind tunnel.

I have a DS3 mb, 2 gigs of G-skill ram, e6600 CPU, 7950 GT KO GPU, 3 hard drives on the bottom HD cage and a Zalaman 9500 cpu cooler.
Runing @3.72 GHZ stabel after a 12.5 hr orthos run on windows vista 64bit.
Note the top hard drive cage will need to come out if you get the new one of the new 8800 cards for nvida. Hope that the new ati cards aont be as long.

Overall I am very pleased with the case. Looks good, low noise and cools good.

Regular P180 is definitely a consideartion but I've heard a few (but savvy) compalints about the thermals of that case. (Noise is exccellent, though) I was hoping they fixed that issue with the new revision. And as for 210B.. Well I can tell you that it's a great case.. just not in my budget. What do you think of Auror?

Oh, BTW

What do you mean by that? Does it break down overtime or something? Could you clarify? Thanks.

Could you mind leading me to those threads.. I shall follow.. 😉

Earlier post edited. I normally give enough info for the questioner to find it if they want to. I generally don't provide links unless I'm starting a thread. Don't expect such coddling in the future.

Mainly that its design is a little old. Lian-Li has moved to newer style cooling solutions like zone'ing off areas and different motherboard placement. The same can be said with other case makers.

Again, if you like the 201, take a look at the 101. as that is within your price range. You lose some drive space, but otherwise, it is a well designed case.
