Are the board has a problem?
Does the board amd RAID 0 speed limits?
How can I improve speed?
How Intel's board gives good results

6311: First make sure that your BIOS is set to access the disks via AHCI. Second, Win7 does not need the "F6 pre-install", that's for XP. Third, once Win7 is installed you need to install the Gigabyte chipset drivers, you'll notice that includes chipset and sata/raid.

That's how you get the drivers onto Win7 (if you don't have Win7 then you probably should have said so). Whether they help you get more speed is another matter entirely, especially seeing as how I've seen complaints of AMD's AHCI driver sucking.

What's the connection?
What is this a joke?

No joke at all.
The connection is that catalyst are ATI / AMD drivers.
The latest version is cat 10.9

I know a lot of people prefer the MS driver, but I have an all gigabyte - AMD lineup at home (6 desktops) and the AMD drivers for win 7 work wonders.

Thanks for the attitude

AHCI
NOT Plays a role in - RAID 0
I tried not help AHCI

I had a Gigabyte board FX 790
all the time have to Install DRIVER
FOR raid
with win 7 64

what is "MS " ???

"MS" driver means the default Windows 7 Microsoft storage driver. The chipset manufacturer (Intel, Nvidia, or AMD depending on the motherboard, AMD in your case) usually has their own storage driver that you can install to override the Microsoft storage driver.

Make sure you're using the AMD SB850 SATA ports and NOT the secondary "Gigabyte SATA2" controller ports, which is probably a JMicron controller connected either via PCI or PCI Express x1.

Make sure you do NOT install any AMD/Catlyst drivers!! Use the MS driver.
You should have done your research though ... there have been multiple threads on this board alone about the horrible performance of AMD chipsets in connection with SSDs.
If you want to use SSDs, you really should use intel chipsets.

(And since this is a known problem for 2+ years, I do not see AMD fixing their chipset problems anytime soon)
