Just built my new system tonight, everything working fine so far (e6600, 2Gigs Corsair DDR2-800, PNY GeForce 8800 GTS).

Anyway, installed all the drivers from Gigabytes site so I have the latest audio drivers. I'm currently using the Logitech Z-5300's (2 fronts, 2 rears a center and subwoofer). Everything is physically connected correctly (was having no issues on my previous motherboard) and I have the Realtek control panel set for 6.1 speakers however when I play the sound test when it play the right front speaker, it comes out of the left front. When it plays the left front, it correctly comes out of the left front (basically nothing comes out of the front right speaker). All the others work fine.

Any thoughts?

you know I have the exact same problem, it seems I have SigmaTel STAC9220 but exactly same problem with my onboard. I have struggled with it for months, tried everything possible in my reach but no results. The only thing that fixed it was a reinstall of windows but after a few months I am having the same issue again... I have no idea why.

Do you have a same or similar graphics? maybe thats whats screwing it up...
