which one is better? I've read Anandtech article about GA-8IEXP and 8SG667, both of them are good mb.
oh, another things I noticed are the onboard stuffs of these motherboards is similiar, except the DDR 400 support of 8SG667 and the dual bios of GA-8IEX(don't think I'll need this though).
anybody used these motherboards yet? plz give me your opinions, thnx...

I own the 8IEXP. It appears that 8SG667 does not have the features of the 8 IEXP. If the 8SG667 were as advanced in features as the 8IEXP, I'd be there for the faster timings. Look also at the GA-8PE667 Ultra.

IMO, Gigabyte forgot features when they built the SG677. I hope they build a Ultra version.

The SG667 has memory timings but forgot other features. See also the GA-8SG667 DDR400 (PC3200) recommended memory modules list

hi,
just brought the mobo and has continously on for 2 weeks... never had any problem...correct recognised the kingston DDR400 ram. My mobo is still a verion 1 board but with a northbridge fan and green AGP slot....
:) Is really a nice, stable board but lack of features (is ok with me)
Highly recommended to everyone if want to stable system without overcolck much.

Cheers!

Anyone have the 2nd revision of this mobo? I heard the www.mwave.com has the revision 2 motherboards in stock. I sent an email to Googlegear to see what revision they are selling.

And if you do have revision2, does it allow for voltage adjustments?

Thanks

I just heard back from Googlegear. They opened a box and said the 8SG667 motherboard revision was 1.002

Is this initial version of the motherboard? Can any of you that have the board check and see what your revision is?

Also, is there a decent Gigabyte mobo forum around? This forum doesn't have a lot of info about the 8SG667.

Thanks

the surest way to see is to have them check what I/O chip is instaled on the board, as thats the only difference between the versions

Super I/O: ITE IT8705 chip (Version 2.0)
Super I/O: ITE IT8700 chip (Version 1.0)

i can check to see what my version 1 says on the board, but as its at home, and im not i will have to post back

try asusboards or toms hardware forums for more gigabyte info. i have yet to find a gigabyte only forum

Has anyone else noticed Gigabyte removed the reference to the Version 2.0 from their site? Including the international sites. They did sometime last weekend, I think.
