Gigabyte 8600GT Silent Pipe II card - HDCP or not?!

Link on Newegg.com to card I'm thinking about buying.

I'm thinking of turning a S939 3800+ X2 system into a HTPC and I'd like it to be capable of 1080p playback. I've got a 6200 LE in there and thought about upgrading to the card linked above. I found one press release that mentioned HDCP and MSN shopping says it supports it, but I was wondering if anyone here has this card and can confirm HDCP support.

You have to contact Gigabyte. I believe only the GTS are guaranteed to have HDCP.

Ok weird. The 8500GT has HDCP advertised, but the 8600GT doesn't? WTF?!

From what I can tell, A lot of the manufacturers skipped on making the 8600 GT HDCP compliant and just focused on the 8500 GT and the 8600 GTS. The Asus 8600 GT supports HDCP, but it takes up 2 slots.

The Gigabyte is unique, & the Asus one mentioned, it looks damn beastly.
