I have the procurve switch and it is rock solid and does not seem to drop gigabit like my Netgear GS105 Switch. Also the GS105 seems to have crappy connectors that drop gigabit. I have a D-link switch that I use down stream on a secondary machine and a network printer. It seems to work ok but I HATE D-link India Based Customer Service that you have to spend a minumum of 60 mins with to get an RMA only to have them send you refurbed crap that lasts a week and then craps out on you. Buy the D-link with the mindset that it goes in the trash when it dies unless you are lonely and like to talk to poeple in India.
