Giga GA-8KNXP mobo - stable for anyone?

Greetings,
I recently completed my new PC build and started with the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP mobo based on reviews from many sites such as this site and Tomshardware.com. My system is extremely unstable. I am using XP SP1, P4 3.0, and 2 gig of corsair twinx DDR400 memory. On my older PC, XP ran like a charm.

I have tried a numerous installs. I keep getting instability, such as lots of Fault errors with products that have always been very stable for me like Adobe Photoshop.

In scanning a lot of forums, I am seeing a lot of threads in which people are making lots of complaints about this mobo. For one, it seems it does not handle large memory installs well, accoring to seeral threads I have read.

Is anyone using this mobo problem-free (if there is such a thing)? If so, how much memory are you using, what OS, and what processor?

I am about to start over with a new mobo and take my losses.
Thanks

harrillj, you don't say which memory sticks you have. Are they 512MB? Also which slots are they in? I also agree with the above suggestions except for the voltage - mine is only stable at default setting. This mobo & ram combo is tricky.
