At my company we have a guy that goes around and delivers packages etc. He is real nice, and I order lots of packages for myself personally. I want to get him something. What do you all think would be cool?

That's actually really, really nice of you.. what's your budget? I'd suggest some chocolate.. like a nice $5-10 box

What if he hates his job and you get him a box cutter. He might feel like poo and use the box cutter on himself.

I think a more appropiate gif would be a nice pack of shipping labels or how abouts a thing of stamps. Stamps are always fun

Or

Next time he comes around look down at his pants and ask "Is that big package for me?"

yeah man....if you give this guy chocolate he's gonna be terrified of you. Unless, he is gay that is.

Wallet and chocolate are some good ideas. Thanks,

EVERYONE has a wallet and nice ones can get pricey.. I'd stick to the chocolate or other useful/non-permanent things.. Here are a few:

a) Movie or dinner gift certificates.. In other words, something with no set dollar limit on them (good for 2 movie tickets, etc.)...Don't offer to go with him though.. that's odd...

b) find out more about his life and hobbies.. When I was 14 I was a fax runner (kinda like a mail room guy).. What I liked the most was when the investment bankers thought of me as a person and spent the time to talk to me about regular stuff... LIke once I had a talk with a banker about pearl jam and I didn't feel like a lowly fax boy for that moment.. Talk to him for a bit, befriend him a bit.. Find out what he's into and then buy him something based on that hobby.. If he likes baseball cards get him a card organizer.. that sorta thoughtful but affordable gift is great...

c) if you do get to befriend and once you get passed the gay vibes (talk about a ficticious gf a lot) offer to take him out for a manly, cheap meal at a pub or something since he's been so helpful... Really, it sounds gay but there's nothing wrong with having a beer and some pub grub with a guy

d) Chocolate.. just no heartshaped sh1t and no hershey bars either

I'm full of suggestions so ask if you'd like more

Damn you guys think way too much in terms of "gay". I guess that is because a lot of you are 13 or think like a 13 year old. Adults to give eachother gifts to say "hey thanks" every once and awhile. Fags!

settle down there dickless. All I am saying is if some guy gave me chocolates I would think he is gay and interested in a date.

edit: giving him a gift is ok...just not chocolates!

Hey, I agree. You're being very kind and I don't see anything gay about a gift to a coworker.. It's actually <gasp!> sweet and thoughtful..

I assumed that the gift was a bribe. I read into the original post that this guy is delivering all your internet purchases to you at work while the boss is paying his salary.
