Is there anything under $50 that can actually affect performance?

Or what good/cool accessories are there?

you honestly can't buy much for a car for $50

well, some cars have some cool specific little dress up things, like for my car you can get cool aluminum door sills, but who knows if they make them for that car.
 
Go on e-bay and buy him a intake. You should be able to get him one for around 50 bucks shipped to you. Doesn't matter on the brand. A intake is a intake. Especially in a car.
