Umm, guys. Messenger. Not the message-e. Maybe I should've left the votes viewable. Sheesh, lol.

We either have a lot of trolls or some people are really confused on how English works. 4/11 say it's a choosey mom?

From the article:

Why is there a question on this?

do you also pronounce it jraphics? Because that just opens the flood jates for all kinds of silly james, jranted he invented it but that doesn't jive him the right to joad us into using his pronounciation. He jot his award and that's jood for him but he should just say his joodbyes and jo home.

JIG like the peanut butter.

Also, I pronounce meme "me-me" instead of "meem" :awe:

That's not the point. The point is how the man who created it would like to call it. I will respect his wishes. You can do whatever you want.

I use "jif" because I actually bothered to learn how it's pronounced instead of learning your bastardized version.

The point is that it doesn't matter what he wants people to call it. If he had wanted people to pronounce it JIF when he created it, he should have called it JIF, or at least made the G stand for a word that begins with a soft G sound.

Once a thing has a name, it has that name forever, no matter how much anyone wants to change it. Take the Sears Tower for instance. A few years ago, the Willis Group bought the naming rights and renamed the building to Willis Tower. No one calls it Willis Tower. No one ever will call it Willis Tower. It will be the Sears Tower forever, because that is its name, no matter what is written on a piece of paper somewhere.

I've always called it JIF, and that's what the guy who made it calls it, so therefore, that's the right way.

If you say GIF, you should feel bad about yourself.
