Gibsons quality has steadily been going downhill over the past decade. No way would I buy a new gibson sg for the price they offer.

I enjoy the Les Pauls, but there is no way I would ever purchase one

Gibson lost much of its prestige as a premium brand after a small group led by Jonny Lee Miller successfully hacked the supposedly unhackable Gibson mainframe.

Are they not already getting licensing money from them for usage of the Les Paul controllers?
That's what I thought. 😕

Haven't they been partners with the Guitar Hero series since the first one came out, and now they're bitching? Maybe I'm missing something here. 😕

Gibson hasn't had much trouble finding people to sue in the last few years. When they sued Elderly Instruments I sold my Gibson guitar and was done with them.

I still can't believe they go after people on Craigslist for describing an item as 'Les Paul-like'. Talk about petty.

Yeah I remember that thread. They're the new SCO/Rambus of the guitar world.

I'm liking my Epiphone Les Paul more and more now (although I think they're the same company now...).
