<<One thing they share is hatred for the Giants.>>

What the heck is this BS? What is there between the Angels and the Giants? NOTHING, no rivalry, no tradition, no history whatsoever. This further proves that you're just another Dodger-turned-Angel fan. You'd root for anybody against the Giants because as a Dodger fan, you're taught to hate them.

Big deal.
There's a conspiracy by the players since they didn't strike. They need to let the underdogs win.

Another bitter Yankee, A's, Braves, Cardinals, D-Backs fan?
Stop being such a sore loser.

Sorry none of the above. If it doesn't make sense to you there's no sense in arguing.

Enjoy your fake gift championships.

It doesn't make sense to me because your initial argument is absolutely ludicrous.

I'm not the only one that believes it Here

With the strike, the players were against the contraction.
It was too late in the season and the divisions were pretty set in who was winning.
They saved the season and baseball since this strike would be much more damaging than the last. I wasn't going to follow baseball again from the last strike, but I came back. I don't think I would have like come back this time like many people.
I can't say for all the teams, but the Yankees and Dbacks both laid down.

wow...a world series prediction of wildcards going to the WS the day that the 2nd wildcard team can clinch. Yup...he sure saw it coming before ANY of us!! ;)

So all you conspiracy theorist think that all the top four teams were pressured, bought out, forced to lose their respective series?
Soooo....not only would every player would have to be informed, all the coaches trainers and miscellaneous staff.

Lets provide a modest estimate of around 40 people per team, multiplied by 4 = 160.
160 people knew about this so called consipiracy, nobody objected and nobody leaked any of this information to the public? Very hard to believe.

I can't imagine the difficulty in planning and execution of such a wide spread and complicated manner without any information being leaked to the public, its just not feasible.

Lofton seems to have more than proved his worth. He was always fun to watch back when he played for Cleveland, but hell he looks better than ever.

...and it has to suck for the Cards that much more to have him knock in the winning run after making him the enemy at the beginning of the series.

As a fan of both teams I see no reason why I shouldn't hate the Giants, regardless of which team they're playing. And as for the Dodger-turned-Angel fan; I've been a fan for years. I remember watching that heartbreaking game in '95 when they lost that one game playoff to Seattle. I remember the days when Marcel Lachmann was the manager and the team had players like Edmonds, Snow, Langston and Finley. Just because my Dodger hate of the Giants has carried over doesn't make me any less of an Angels' fan.

you honestly believe that 160 people wouldn't be able to keep a secret when MILLIONS of THEIR OWN dollars are at stake?? i think ur sorely mistaken.

ALL of them stand to benefit if they are able to change the perception that ONLY the yankees can win the WS.

Baseball is SOOOO corrupt right now. it's amazing that more people don't see it.

Diamondbacks build a WS winning team, then they have to borrow money from major league baseball to make payroll WHILE they are defending champions, how PATHETIC is that.

You're still wrong to say that Dodger fans and Angel fans share the same Giant hatred, unless you're telling me that all Angel fans are Dodger fans. For Christ's sake, not even all Dodger fans hate the Giants, at least I personally know some that don't. I've always thought that the Dodger-Giant hatred is a one-way hatred; here in Nor-Cal we don't go around hating nobody, we just love our own teams. And it's absolutley absurd to say that there is hatred between San Fran and Anaheim, I think it's only you because you happen to be a Dodger and an Angel fan.

160 people minimum! What you are asking these teams to rip to shreds the fabric of the game. I honestly don't think what you proposed to have occurred is as easy to pull off as you think.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said there was hatred betweem San Fran and Anaheim. I merely said some of the fans' hatred has carried over.
