Giants Receive Super Bowl Rings

Big event in NYC last night as the Super Bowl champions, the NY Giants, received their Super Bowl rings.
Only players not in attendance were Antonio Pierce, who was on his honeymoon, and Jeremy Shockey, who is still whining about his lack of respect and love from the Giants.
I'm ready for the '08 season! Let me just start by saying the Cowboys suck, and TO will be crying again come January.

You know, when I read this, I was going to be nice and say congrats blah blah blah.

Dallas is going to dominate the Giants so bad this year, Eli's ass will be in more pain than after a Saturday night in a San Francisco bathhouse.
 
I can only describe their last season as a series of cosmic aligning lucky streaks, and nothing more. They'll soon be forgotten this year after the first few games, and the next year, and the next...
 
As glad as I was that the G-men beat those insufferable Patriot cheating bastards, the fact remains it was sheer luck that they were able to get to the Super Bowl at all. That they were able to win it was pretty much a miracle.

Winning is winning. There is no luck, everyone gets good calls and has to deal with bad ones, everyone has injuries, it's a level playing field and the best team of the night wins. Was it luck that the Giants' front 4 dominated the Pats o-line the entire game?

Shockey was instrumental in this happening. If he had not gotten hurt he would have been in there dropping passes at key moments.

Well you dont get lucky and just happen to beat the 2 top seeds in your conference and then beat the overall top seed, which so happens to be undefeated as well. The Giants did go 10-6 in the season but there was only 1 team they didnt beat that they played and that was the Vikings. They played once and lost. Every team they played more then once they also beat. Thats not luck.


 
Eli Manning STILL hasn't earned my respect. Very "meh" QB... if he can play like he did in the playoffs during the regular season, then he'll be something. Every season he throws more INT's than the previous year.

I'm sure this leaves him feeling broken and hollow inside. When leading your team to victory over the 3 time undefeated greatest team of all time doesn't earn you someone's respect, the problem isn't yours.

that Eli pass that the will for ever haunt the Pats was more of a defensive glitch on the Pats side. I mean, come on....Miami probably could have stopped that pass from happening. If anything, credit is more due to the receiver for actually hanging on to the ball.

Now you're backwards and upside down. There is no "barely", there's no "almost won". When you say he hasn't earned your respect, what do you mean exactly? That you don't consider him one of the greatest QBs? No one does. But he deserves respect for last season, especially the post season.
