Rumor has it there are a number of teams interested in Hall. So what chance do the Giants have with the last pick in the first round, if you have three or four other teams interested with lower picks? It's OK to sniff around, but I'd hate to see the Giants throw away draft picks on this guy. He's good, but overrated. Champions are built through the draft. Besides, Corey Webster came on in the post season, and there may not be a pressing need for a corner as was thought earlier in the season. Let Philly have him, so the Giants can burn his ass twice a year.Originally posted by: Sinsear
18-1 odds they get him?

NO WAY he's worth a first rounder. if they give that up, theyll be picking at 62...basically giving up this years draft.
LOL...you're a moron.
Yes, two of the bigger contributors on this year's Giants team came from the early rounds (S. Smith, and A. Ross), but value can be attained in the lower rounds. Just look at their draft from last year:
1 20 20 Aaron Ross - Bio | Video CB Texas
2 19 51 Steve Smith - Bio | Video WR USC
3 18 81 Jay Alford - Bio DT Penn State - Filled in well at long snapper, showed some potential at DT (sack on Brady)
4 17 116 Zak DeOssie - Bio | Video LB Brown - Excellent Special teamer,
a little undersized, but has potential to be a good backup or spot starter.
5 16 153 Kevin Boss TE Western Oregon - Filled in wonderfully after Shock went down in week 15; many consider him the TE of the future.
6 15 189 Adam Koets T Oregon State - Unknown commodity.
7 14 224 Michael Johnson S Arizona - Great speed, excellent hitter - filled in well when G. Wilson and J. Butler went down at mid season.
7 40 250 Ahmad Bradshaw RB Marshall - We all saw what he did starting Dec. 23 in Buffalo.
So, as you can see, the draft is not "over" just because they won't pick until the end of the second round. The Giants can afford to give up their first pick to get someone like D. Hall.

I agree. Good riddance to DHall. He single handedly caused the Falcons to lose at least one game last season. 85 yds in penalties for one person? C'mon!

To be fair, the Giants draft last year was one for the ages. It's hardly typical.
