wahts the best rivalry? tell me so i can correct you

Yankees/Red Sox. Don't even TRY arguing that one! 😀

the actual rivalries that matter are in international and college sports, where the team you care about actually means something...red sox and yankees are owned by some fat rich tycoons...how can you be loyal to a team thats owned by someone? people that believe in these fabricated rivalries are TOOLS. you may try to defend your position but if you look at the big picture, what you're supporting is a corportation not a team by the traditional sense. Any player on that team would leave to go to another team if he gets payed more? and the owner might even move the team if it is in his financial interest.
What you say is true if it's looked at it from an objective, rational standpoint. But "fanism" is not a rational thing, it's an emotional thing. My grandfather, and father were both Yankee fans, so I grew up a Yankee fan, and I will always be one. It has nothing to do with who the owner is, and it cannot be rationally explained to anyone who is not part of it.

Well said. I respect you for being a loyal and non-bandwagon fan, despite the fact that I despise NY's sports teams. May they rot in hell.

<------- Bronco fan since '79

would you be a yankees fan if they moved the team to a different city? or if the roster was completly different next season...would you still be a fan then?

That's a tough one, it's hard to root for a team that turns it's back on it's fans... I don't know.

Yes.

Yes.

so, its the organization you're a fan off?

Sorry I wouldn't be a Yankees fan if they were down here. In the great state of Texas, we watch baseball, but only when there is no football on!

Sorry had to say it. Some of us don't like baseball as much as say football, basketball, tennis, bowling, golf... insert non-traditional sport here.

Baseball is the perfect sport for people in comas. When they wake up the game will still be on.

Don't forget about hockey.

lol, can they both tie in overtime, plz?

Actually, if I wanted someone to win, It'd be the eagles. They can't possibly win the division now, but I'd like for them to bring down the Giants.

This game will totally suck.
The Steelers/Baltimore game will be a damn sight more entertaining.
At 4:30 Cinncinnati/Indianapolis is on.
I picked Cinnci for the upset of the week, then I saw some dork on Fox pick them too.
That should be a hell of a game.

I can't believe the Eagles didn't even attempt to run the ball from the 1 yard line, with 3 free plays... Andy Reid for idiot of the week.

how can it be a rivalry when it's been SOOOO onesided?

giants / eagles is interesting. the last 20 seasons, they have sept 18 times. 9 sweeps by the giants and 9 sweeps by the eagles.

And there's the game. Michael Lewis needs to learn how to keep his hands off of receivers... that's two big penalties on him this game.

yep its not a rivalry if one side loses 90% of the time

THose calls were both garbage. And the endzone rape of LJ smith wasn't called. I guess he has to literally have a dick in his ass to get the call. Fcking pathetic.

damn. Eagles, you can't even play spoiler right!

Eagles aren't losing because of TO or McNabb. They're losing because their defense isn't what it used to be. In the past when Eagles blitzed their secondary would almost always make a play. These days they're getting burned on blitzes all the time.

Oh, please! Take your loss like a man! Stick a fork in the Eaglets. They're done. See you in ten years or so when the rebuilding begins to take shape.
