Damn, the problem with being in so many fantasy leagues is that Romo just won me a game in one league and absolutely destroyed me in another.
At least I didn't have NYG DEF

To make myself feel better I just beat the crap out of the Cowboys on Madden.

I fear my worst suspicions have been confirmed: this Giants team is really the Detroit Lions in disguise. What an embarrassment they are!
However, being the eternal optimist, I prefer to look at the bright side. First, we know this will be Coughlin's last season. And that's a huge load off of this organization's shoulders. He is the worst head coach in the League. The sooner the old dinosaur is gone, the better.
Next, they have to rebuild through the draft and stockpile draft picks, too. Trade away the old, the slow, the has beens. That's what teams like the Redskins, the Raiders, and the Lions are for.
Of course, building through the draft requires a keen eye for talent, something this front office hasn't show to possess. New GM Jerry Reese has gone on record as saying this team needs to get younger and faster. Ya think, Jerry? Is this the slowest group of linebackers in the history of the NFL?
As this mini-rant draws to a close, what's up with this team and injuries? This is three successive seasons that injuries have been a key factor in this team's performances. Key players go down in bunches. Somehow, this is Coughlin's fault, too. I just haven't figured it out, yet. :|

Well, it's hard to argue with that after a division loss like that.
However, the offense was real good, and they were playing a good team.
Next week against Green Bay will really show us what we got.
If they allow Favre to go wild, it's gonna be a long season.

Yes, Manning was prime time last night. He was throwing darts and hitting receivers in stride. Assuming the offensive line remains intact, (and that's no given with this team's injury history), he should have a remarkable year. I see him making the progress everyone has been clamoring for, while the team takes a giant, (no pun intended), step backwards.
And I don't think the loss of Jacobs is such a big deal, either. I mean, to this point he has been nothing more than a short yardage back and hasn't proven a thing. Derrick Ward was excellent last night, Droughns is a reliable change of pace, and rookie Bradshaw looks promising, too.
But, oh, that D. . .:(

Try being a Browns fan. At least your coach doesn't pick starters with a coin flip.

I don't know. I think it may serve Coughlin well to pick CB's and safeties with flipping a coin. The starters he chose certainly suck. I guess the backups must suck more.

McQuarters should be cut today. The guy is terrible. There's not a WR in the league who he can play against.

I guess the good news for the Cowboys is that their offense demolished a horrid defense.
The bad news is that Eli destroyed the Dallas defense.

Oh no doubt, no excuses on my end as a Cowboys fan. D did well in the first half, then lost it during the Giants comeback. We have no experience on the corners (at least last nights game) so I was expecting to get torn up in the secondary there. We still have a ways to go as do the Giants.

I still wouldn't expect the Giants to do better than 7-9 this season though. :)

Given last night's performance, I think that's very likely.
Unless there are some drastic changes to the defense, or they suddenly play like an NFL defense.
I mean, LSU would have scored 35 points on the Giants last night.

Yeah--Cowboys defence is suspect. I hope they won't be facing too many high-powered offences early on. Eli Manning, as maligned as he is, is a good QB.

Just go deep against Roy Williams every time. He might be good in the open field against the run, but he sucks covering receivers.

First of all, there is actually no room left on that bandwagon. :D

That was a good game last night. Eli played really well which is great for me since he is my QB for my fantasy team.

Ehh, I've always thought he's overrated. Every game he has at least one pass interference call on a route he got owned on. Was really disappointed we let go of Glenn...that somehow makes more sense than starting a bunch of rookies, who got tore up last night?
