This or because someone never add any major or gamebreaking bugs with past gamebryo games like Fallout 3 or Oblivion.

I guess it's personal preference there. Some people have to play games as soon as they come out. I bought Mass Effect 2 at release for $50. Could have waited a couple months and gotten it for half that. Single player games decrease in price very quickly.

Bethesda's incompetance makes them pretty much dead to me. Their games go on the 'Below $10 List'. Oblivion was awful and had horrible bugs, which only continued in FO3. Big No!

The reviews are funny, pretty much 'I enjoyed it when I could get it to run right.'

I never had any technical difficulties with Fallout 3 so if the bugs in this game are the same, sign me up! 😀

maybe im just lucky. i havent had any problems with Oblivion, FO3 or even Morrowind. I have had 1 instance of a rad roach getting stuck under a pile of rocks in a building. left and came back in and he was fine.

The Hannibal Hamlin quest in FO3 was pretty much undoable because of a huge bug, and they never even bothered to patch that. That pissed me off.

/same here

When people talk of "Bugs" and "problems" with Oblivion, Fallout 3, etc - I have to wonder where those annoying quests are located because I can never find them... 🙂

Same here, I have never had a problem with any of those games, which is why I picked up New Vegas today.

Of course now I will probably have problems playing it, heh

The biggest bug I ever had in Fallout 3 was all the shitty boring unimaginative dungeons. At least I assume those were bugs and not intentional.

Considering the concept of the game and most "dungeons" being desolate, abandoned buildings now occupied by ghouls, mutants, or raiders, I think most "dungeons" were done perfectly. What did you want, giant thrones and gold idols with colorful dancing gnomes and flittering fairies?

I bought it today and am downloading it now...seems most of the reviews that were buggy were console versions. I never had a problem with Fallout 3 on my computer. And since I just happened upon $500 bonus I decided 50 bucks is OK because I'll probably play this for at minimum 100 hours. Plus I'm a Fallout junkie and I'll probably love it either way

My main complaints with Fallout 3 was the level cap and absurdly quick item degradation. But the reviews don't seem to address those things.

99% of the gameplay issues were addressed with mods. Yours fall into that category.

Some of the performance issues were fixed with patches and tweakguides.com.
Few quest bugs were ever fixed. And some of them can flat out break the game.

2.5 hrs in
1st hard crash
music went to total white noise(new vegas radio)
fp2 dropped in to frames per minute out of nowhere
3 quests complete
hard lock of machine
PhIIx3 720/Gts250/4gb/WinXp

sigh

I'm not sure if this natively supports eyefinity, I feel like it somehow stretched 1600 x 1200 across my 3 monitors. After playing for about 10 minutes I feel like my head is going to explode.

- Played for four hours today (PC version) with no crashes or serious glitches.
- Extremely similar to FO3 in terms of side quests and exploration, which I think is a good thing.
- Main story arc is better than FO3 so far but that isn't saying much.
