Yeah, I know it's not Halloween but today I am going to share with you my ghost story. It all happened several years ago. My father owned a house at a lake in Washington State. Since he had remarried, it was seldom used by him or any of my siblings. It was a really nice summer home that had been erected about 50 yards uphill from the lake on what had been Indian Reservation property, until the Tribe decided to allocate some parcels for sale. The home was constructed in about 1978 and was a 4 bdrm two story, 2 bath, etc. It was a nice rustic home with cedar tongue n groove, fireplace, etc. Just a good place to go and relax. We had a nice dock down the trail from the place and liked to take our boats there. From there we could boat to different beaches, go water skiing, visit the country store, and there was even an old cemetary. I used to marvel at the beauty of some of the headstones and enjoyed reading some of the engravings.

Anyway, in 1987, it was a nice friday afternoon in June. I had just gotten off work and had the next 4 days off. We decided to hook up the boat and head out to the lake, which was about 2 hours away. By the time we packed all our gear and groceries and hit the road, it was about 8pm. We arrived at the lake house just after 10pm. It was totally pitch dark when we arrived and I used a flashlight to get to the door and get it unlocked. I turned on the lights and we unpacked the truck. I went to turn on the water and realized that since nobody had been out there yet this year, the well pump had not been turned on. So, I head down the trail to the pump house with my flash light. The night just felt creepy to me and as I walked down the trail, I had this strange feeling that I was not alone. The wife and kids were still up at the house and I could hear them talking in the distance. Still I just had this feeling, the kind that makes your skin crawl and the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Suddenly, the trees in front of me made a loud snap and whoosh! Something jumped out in front and scared the shit out of me! My heart raced, what a rush. Whew, it turns out it was just a Deer that had been sleeping and I had startled it. That's the way my weekend started, but there is more to come. I got the pump started and walked back up to the house.

Safely out of the woods, so to speak, I went in and fixed myself a Crown Royal and Coke. My Wife and I said goodnight to our kids and they went to bed. I read a magazine for about an hour and had 1 more cocktail, then retired for the evening. I was laying in bed in that half awake - half asleep mode, when I heard the side door to the kitchen open. I could see the door from my bed but it did not physically open, but the noise was distinguishable, as I've heard it many times. Then footsteps were audible as whatever it was traversed the kitchen floor toward our bedroom, finally approaching the entry. It became silent. Suddenly, I looked to my right side and there was an apparition, of a woman if you will. She had a light blue dress on but it looked kind of transparent, you know, kind of ghost like. She was very obviously and American Indian. I could see the sillohouette of her long hair in braids. She had a necklace with some turquoise. As she smiled at me, I observed that she was missing a couple of teeth, but her eyes had a certain warmness to them. For some reason I was not afraid. She slipped her hand under my covers and began to fondle my private parts and caress the hair on my chest.
I could not speak out but I could see that my Wife was awake and was looking at what I was looking at. Then, just like that, she turned away (not even finishing me off) and walked out. Once she left the bedroom, I could no longer see her, but could hear the footsteps across the kitchen floor and the door open and close, even though I could not see it physically open and close. My wife and I talked about it and we had both seen and hear the same thing!

Years later my Father sold that lake house, since I had moved away to California and nobody ever used it anymore. He was spending his time at his other vacation home on Vancouver Island. In 2001 we were fortunate enough to all be together for Thanksgiving at my Father's house. I had never previously told any family members about our ghostly encounter in 1987. We got to talking about the good old days and the lake house. Dad asked if anyone had ever had any strange experiences there...you know, the paranormal type. I confessed that we had and suddenly my sisters admitted that they had too and that had been the reason they no longer went to the lake house. Now I remember all those times of them being invited but declining, saying they had other things to do. Dad said the proximity of the Cemetary probably had something to do with it and that spirits travel quite freely across water.

I had never believed in ghosts before but that ghost made me a believer. Anyone else ever seen a ghost?

Cliffs:
Never believed in ghosts
Went to our family lake house and saw one
Got fondled by same ghost
Wife also saw it
We now believe in ghosts

Which means they are guaranteed to exist since lack of proof of lack means proof of uh...what are we talking about again?

Hey, I'm a credible witness and what we'd seen was later validated by other family members. ;)

At this point, the philosophical parallels between he-man and the epic of Gilgamesh.

Ok so I read it. Directions to lake house? Think I'll get the happy ending if I come alone?

Everyone knows that all ghosts that play with your junk always finish you off. It's science.

That's just the trial offer. For $79.99 more the ghost will not only finish but suck you off and swallow.
