First of all, you suck at polls. ;) Second of all, if you believe in ghosts, I hope you are under ten or live in a thirrd world country where the education is poorer than it is here (actually, knowing what public schools are like, nevermind) :p

I'm very interested in the subject, but I have never experienced anything that I could not explain. I'm sick of seeing "ghost hunters" with a handful of pictures of orbs saying "Look, ghosts!" I can create a orb too, throw some dust in the air and turn on the flash!

I've got a fever and the only cure is more poll :D

I don't believe in anything not explained by logic and the laws of physics, so no.

I used to believe in ghosts when I was a kid, but I don't believe they exist now that I'm 20.

I've seen some VERY bizzare things happen that I can not possibly explain. I honestly believe there is some sort of paranormal activity. Not necessarily embodied in the concept of a ghost, but definitely something else at work at times.

don't believe, but I'll believe if I see one. (actually, I'll probably still be skeptical and find a rational explanation like "40Hz standing waves" just cause I'm like that :p)

Did it say there was a POLL?

NO!

Lets see, is Oregon a third world country now?

NO!

Why is it considered OK to believe in GOD, but not ghosts?

You go dude. Great analogy. I agree completely. Prove to me that God exists and I will prove that Ghosts exist.

i get a lot of slack for this but there have been several times that i *knew* there was a "being" other than a human around me.

A few years ago, we went to an old hotel in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The hotel dated to around the mid 1800s.

At night, i woke up somewhat to footsteps next to the bed. They were like someone/something was walking and the floor was creaking underneath them. I knew it just wasnt the building because it sounded in step. there was a beat to them, like someone was walking. Its weird but i got that feeling of knowing something was there and it just wasnt my imagination.

Also, i got the same sense when we visited another place in Michigan that had been the scene of a terrible school massacre. Around this monument, it felt like someone was standing behind me even though no one was. I got this horrible feeling of sadness, like there was something resting on my chest. THat had never happened to me before.

I am not saying this has anything to do with spirits or ghosts, but i do know it wasnt in my mind either.

DUH EDIT:
come to find out, certain rooms that over look the water had been reported as being haunted. i only found this out after i had experienced that.

No, I really wasn't, I was just kinda joking around.

As for the god/ghosts thing, I agree w/ WHipLAsh13 magical, invisible men in the sky seem just as likely to me as magical invisible men lurking in our houses. I've just kind of learned not to criticize the former because there are too many of 'em

Sounds like an irrational reaction to things that could very easily be explained by some combination of physical sciences and psychology.

Not to nitpick or anything but the expression is "get a lot of flak" not slack. If they gave you slack then they wouldn't bother you :p
