Ghosting while scrolling Webpages

I recently got the Benq951 lcd with DVI and cleartype font enabled (25ms). And in gaming I don't notice much ghosting but when scrolling and browsing on some websites I think I may get ghosting.

Like for instance if I'm scrolling thru an online forum where they have a black background with yellow text. I'll see the monitor dim a little each time as I'm scrolling down thru the posts and see as the text dim and reappear when I stop. If I scroll really fast down the page, the text is dimmed (I guess as the pixels switch from the yellow text color to black). I can also see the color transition from yellow to black as I scroll downwards. This only occurs on black backgrounds with bright text so it doesn't occur on this forum.
This might seem like a minor annoyance but it does give me a headache as I'm web browsing. Anybody else experience this problem on their lcds?

Is that ghosting when the text is moving upwards as I'm scrolling? Would a faster response time help or am I missing a single key adjustment?

Thanks for your help.

sigh I guess it's related to response time, does anyone see this on the 16ms panels?

good 25ms response time lcd's ghost very little at gaming, just like my dell lcd. samsung's newest model, the 243T, is 25ms and gamepc.com's reviews state that ghosting is very minimal, hardly even noticable at gaming.

See it when scrolling text too. Using the scroll wheel to scroll in jumps works fine, but pixel by pixel "dragging scrolls" are out for now. 16ms LCD

hmmm, I do the wheel scroll and I see it noticeably on dark backgrounds... :(
maybe I'm missing a setting on my lcd? anything to compensate for that ghosting while scrolling? I'm surprised no one talks or complained about that with lcd screens. The only ghosting issue I read about is the one in games. It seems this ghosting while scrolling is more prominent.

the only ghosting i notice on my BenQ 951 is at the gamespot site. Their horrid background gives me ghosting headaches.

I just don't understand why review sites of lcds don't emphasize the ghosting while scrolling as much as the gaming :(

hmm, I do notice I don't get that ghosting scroll problem on a dell 15" lcd (analog) at work.

Plus my friend says he doesn't notice ghosting on this 17" LCD (analog) on the same websites I've seen that ghosted.

Is this problem associated with larger lcd screens (19" and higher)? I'm sure the 15" lcd at work is 25ms and it uses a radeon 7500 (or cheap radeon that they include with dells) through analog and I get very little to no ghosting on those same websites...

Maybe I should try the analog connections instead of dvi?

well I replaced the fp951 with a dell 2001fp and I notice minimal ghosting of text on black backgrounds. I do see it still but it's not as evident.

Oh well, guess it was the response rate.

Turn off smooth scroll if it bothers you.

I have a 16ms LCD and I do not notice ghosting in scrolling, however I've had it forever so maybe I'm just used to it if it is there???

wow thx that helped alot! Didn't realize that this may have been causing the ghosting... and I just returned the benq :(

Oh well the 2001fp is here to stay and I'm happy with it.
