Is this a good policy?
2x10Krpm 150GB SCSI HDDs in RAID 0.
1x External 7200rpm drive, 500GB.
Set to ghost backup every night + incremental backups as the system changes.
The ghost is set to ghost to an external HDD that is only programmed to backup overnight, every night (eg: 2 - 4am). Power to the external HDD is regulated by a timer, which only keeps the external on from 1:50am - 4:10am to minimize data loss over time.
Of course all power is connected to UPS.
Is this a good method to optimize speed and performance, along with data recovery?
