I think this movie looks terrible.

On the radio this morning they were actually talking about movies, and that Ghost Rider did not put out copies of the movie to critics after all the hyping. Typically that is a horrible sign.

I bet it's going to suck. Nicholas cage is a worthless actor. They were also saying on the radio how Sean Penn and Nicholas Cage used to be good friends but had a falling out after Penn said that Cage hasn't made a worthwhile movie after winning his oscar award for some movie about Las Vegas. I agree with him because Cage hasn't had a good movie to me since probably The Rock, and him as an actor is horrible.

Lord of War and Matchstick Men were pretty good. Adaptation is an excellent film. You think the Rock is his last good movie? You sound like you don't have taste.

I forgot about Lord of War ... that movie was decent, but way too long. I didn't see Matchstick Men either so I can't comment on that.

And I'm far from hard to please when it comes to movies. That's the rest of ATOT.

I was hoping to watch it today but I have to work six days this week instead of five, so the earliest I will get to see it is tomorrow. :(

It looks HORRIBLE to me. Nick Cage has been in some wonderful movies (Adaptation is one of my all-time favorites, and Leaving Las Vegas, Face/Off, Matchstick Men, Moonstruck, and Vampire's Kiss were all really good IMO). He has also been in some memorably awful ones, like 8MM, Snake Eyes, Wicker Man, and Con Air (FWIW I also thought Lord of War was a poor, preachy film). He's like the modern day Michael Caine - talented but completely unwilling to impose any kind of quality control on his own roles. It's weird.

Every now and again he makes something like The Weatherman and you know why you like him.

Didn't like the comic and the movie trailers haven't impressed me at all, so I won't be seeing it.

My wife likes Nicholas Cage so I may take her to see it just so we can get out of the house.

My son wants to see it because he likes Ghost Rider from the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance game. Don't think it is appropriate for a 4-year old though so we're going to have to hold off there for a while.

I think it looks like a rental at best....a free rental.

Well, I have a date tomorrow. We're gonna go to the movies and I'll probably pick "Ghost Rider". So....we'll see how it is. I sometimes end up really liking what everyone hates and hating what most like. Who knows. lol For now I'm just relaxin', drinkin' a beer and getting ready to eat some dinner. (KFC):)

I'll see it mainly because I'm still a Cage, plus, all the fire and whatnot.

If I remember right, I liked "Daredevil". Maybe there's hope.

Right now I'm about to watch "The Grudge 2". The first one really didn't scare me. I'm hoping this one will.

I'd like to go see it, but I promised myself I'd rent Speed 2 and watch it again sometime soon.

LOL at the reviews on RT:

For years scientists have theorized that one day Nicolas Cage would overact so badly that his head would burst into flames. Now, with Ghost Rider, the phenomenon has finally come to pass.

What begins as a standard-yet-watchable superhero adventure slowly congeals into something approaching the caliber of Catwoman. Not as bad, but kinda knocking on the doorstep.

Seriously, people, if you're going to go see a movie you know is about a biker with a flaming skull and magic chains, you forfeit the right to complain about how the plot isn't logical or realistic.

I kept hoping the Scooby Doo gang would come out, rip the mask off of Cage and reveal Ghost Rider really is crazy old man Ben Affleck! That would explain so much.

I was going to go see it today, but had to cancel. I ran a fever almost all night last night and couldn't fall asleep until after 5AM. I felt like my face was on fire. I'm going to have to see it another day.

Went last night with my 17yo son, I wasn't expecting much but was pleasently surprized.
The CGI graphics were great! The plot was a little corny(comic book movie whataya expect), and the acting was meh although I liked Sam Elliots character.

If you go in expecting a classic or Oscar worthy movie you will be diapointed, but if you just want to be entertained and check your inner critic at the door you'll have a good time. The graphics alone are worth 3 1/2 stars

Would have been a perfect time to see it!

Saw it today thought it was pretty good. Nick Cage channeled a little to much Elvis at times and the ending was a little wimpy and corny but it was as good or better than than Fantastic Four and All the X-men Movies. The CGI was Great.

Haha I really know I wasn't feeling well if I didn't catch that. Oh and BITE ME! :p

I think it's funny reading the opinions and how varied they are. Personally, I'm not looking for an oscar-winning performance. Just entertainment will do. ;)

/me starts singing "That's Entertainment" (or whatever the name of it is)

I wanted to take the kids to see it today, but my wife thought it would be too scary so we saw Bridge to Terabithia instead. I was expecting The Chronicles of Narnia and was disappointed. A movie about parents who ignore their kids (the girls parents are writing a book 24/7, the boys dad works hard and the mom could care less about him) so they have to go off in the forest and use their imagination (the CGI) to entertain themselves. I kept waiting for the movie to "start" then it was over without a resolution for the lead boy.

My Girl is a much better boy/girl pre-teen adventure movie IMHO.

I know this isn't the type of movie that will get good reviews so I'm looking for a Joe 6-pack opinion.

As a mindless action movie - does it deliver? Worth the price of an IMAX ticket? Enough explosions and stunts to go 'ooh' over? Maybe even a good catch-phrase?
