I say not a ghost
In the first part of the film it seems that something is coming towards the camera
In the second part of the film it seems that something is going away from the camera, but actually few frames before it the same thing is coming towards the camera, my guess is the wind affecting the "dust"

It's the same clip, just the first one is the original video, and the second time is supposed to be a cleaned up version that was enhanced to show more detail. The last few seconds shot looks like someone shot video of a monitor or something displaying the "ghost" video in question.

EDIT: But there definitely appears to be some sort of mass moving towards the camera and then rapidly away from it. And judging from the height of the railing on that catwalk, the shape is only about waist high, maybe a bit more. Too small for a person to be running around up there in the dark.

Definately fake. Toward the end of the tape when the "ghost" is running away the tape is sped up to make it look faster, you can tell by the snow moving faster. Oh, and the ghost is wearing tennis shoes with white bottoms.

tennis shoes? you must have way better eyesight than me...

EDIT: just watched it again...the first clip does look like its wearing white tennis shoes...lol

supposed to be a documentary...but do you remember the blair witch "documentary"?

i was rather dissapointed in discovery for that...acting like it was a real story as a publicity stunt for a movie... :thumbsdown: @ discovery channel

cant be the same clip, different angle for the first part, the second clip seems to be recorded from a monitor

lol. My friend told me about that movie at work and how it was real. I downloaded it on the computer the next day *took 2 days I had dial-up* and I watched it.

Heh ... everyone in the room was scared. I thought it was real. Then I saw them on t.v the next day and I was like WTF.

lol so did i...i figured if dsc was doing a documentary on it it must be real...didnt that movie have the highest profit margins of all time...like they spent 100K to make the movie and made millions upon millions?

I have always been really facinated by this kind of thing even though I do not believe in ghosts. We have travelled around Michigan looking at supposedly haunted sites and I have never seen anything. I enjoy researching the history of the "haunting" though.

At first I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

But then I realized what it was I was supposed to be tricked into thinking was a ghost - it's snowing, and a small flake hit the lense and melted very quickly caused a distortion of what you think is the ghost. It's obvious because the "ghost" distorts the air around it then shrinks real quick, just like a flake that has melted and evaporated.

I think it's evidence of branes as predicted by String Theory. These guys should submit this a paper along with this video to Physical Review Letters for publication. This is Nobel Prize material!

Yeah, it's just as creepy in person. It sux though, every year they build this really really lame haunted house inside the prison for Halloween. Much more interesting to walk around for one of the tours. A lot of bad things happened in that place.

This was on Sci Fi the other day. It's not snowing. They are inside a building, and there were green leaves on the trees when they were driving there. It's dust passing through the IR light they have set up close to the camera lens

Snow melting on a camera lens doesn't make videos of people walking down a hallway.

Maybe there was a midget running around with a black sheet over its head. I don't know. It's a very strange video.

Man, you can't tell what's going on in that video. To me it just looks like artifacts from the compression process. Need a higher res version.

If you watch it for a couple of minutes, you can make out the face of the ghost. :Q
