Ghost or Drive Image for HD backup?

I'm looking for a backup progaram for my hard drives I currently a a old beta version of drive Image by Power Quest and have found it to work good. But I no longer have the cdr that is need to use it. I upgrade to a much fster one. S

So here are the 2 that I'm looking at:
Drive Image Pro and Ghost 2001

Let me know wich one you like

I use Drive Image Pro. 4 all the time. Most valuable program I own. Seems alittle easier to use than Ghost.

what about using nero 5.0 for HD back ups? or is DI 4 and ghost better?

Very interesting thread..I am curious as to which program would be easiest to use to backup my drive to cd (or cd's)?I would much rather backup to cd,than to fresh install.

Thanks for all the replies, Does any one know if Ghost will let you restore individual files from an image file? My old version of DI wil let me and Have found it to be veary useful.

Yes it does. I actually comes with an explorer style viewer that allows you to look in the .GHO (image) file.

If speed is not an issue, Ghost 2001 is a fine and simple product. If you plan on using an NT O/S or plan to use it through a network, D.I would be a better choice.

BTW: D.I 4.0 is actually more like Ghost Enterprise 6.5
