Ghost help

I have a 2 week old install of XP pro and I was installing Ulead movie factory and the system rebooted for some reason during install so now I cannot uninstall the program as I get a DLL error with a SP 2 error code to reinstall the program but I cannot install the program again as it says the previous install has to be removed. I had a restore point but the system will no go back to it like every time I try to use a restore point but I did a ghost image.

Here is the question I need help with
If I use the ghost 9.0 backup I will loose all my saved documents that were not there when I did the ghost backup right? So I need to backup my files again before I use the ghost image right.

Yes, assuming the documents are on the same drive (C🙂 that you are going to restore. If you have more than one partition or physical drive you could copy the files to D:, etc. before the restore.

But you should be keeping backups of anything you care about already, since a hard drive can literally fail at any time with no prior warning.

I have most backed up just want to make sure I was thinking aong the right lines. I have a partition so I will just move all the information there till restored.

Thank you for the reply
