Ghost copied to WRONG HD! help

i copeied the blank HD to the source drive........ is there anyway to get that data back??? if so I NEED TO KNOW, its for a client

Your thread title is wrong, should read "I copied to WRONG HD!" hehe sorry ;)

I think you're screwed. Ghost overwrites complete partitions so I don't think you can undo it in any way.

no u can recover, i just can't remember the name of the utility that can do it. if i think of it i'll post. :(

it's kinda expensive, but very good software.

the personal edition isn't too bad, but it won't do NTFS.

Hootchie mama, $489 for profession edition to use on Win2k. I still wonder if this could work though, Ghost is a pretty low level operation that completely overwrites stuff.

try this demo.

the ontrack demo only allows you to recover 1 file. i'm not sure what the limit to this demo is, but it's worth a try.

btw, u never said if it was fat or ntfs. that does make a difference. i think there are free utilities available that can recover fat, i don't know of any free ones for ntfs.
