Ghost 2003 & Vista . . .

On a dual boot system with XP Pro with Ghost 2003 installed and Vista setup to run on a second partition, a Ghost image made from the XP boot will image BOTH operating systems and allow for the complete restoration of both operating systems? Correct?

I always make my Ghost partition images in DOS. You would not have to worry about anything if you ran Ghost in DOS.

yeah, it will work. If you create a backup image of the whole drive using ghost in win xp os, then it should work perfectly, but you won't be able to do this trick in vista, coz ghost 2003 doesn'r support vista, for such operation you need to use an another version of ghost or even an another backup prog, i know for sure that true image supports vista. And as for ghost i don't know what version supports vista.

The Ghost 8.0 DOS executable works fine.. that is the only version I have tried... I have backed up to and restored from a Vista boot partition formated by Vista during Vista install and to/from DVD with same, as well...

BTW, Ghost 8.0 automatically splts image files at 2GB but does max out DVD burns.
