Why the hell Symantec decided to do this is beyond me. Every time I restore a partition from an image with Ghost 2002 in DOS, I have to type in the damn 12 twelve character license key!! With the frequency I use Ghost, this is a MAJOR pain in the backside. WHY WHEN I'VE PAID FOR THE PRODUCT DO I HAVE TO DO THIS??? This is such an unbelievably stupid idea.
The Symantec website gives some bull**** about 'reminding' people that it's a single-use only product and that if you don't like having to type the code in every time then 'maybe you'd be better off with the Corporate version'. Utter tripe. I didn't have to do this with 2001 and the only reason I've bought 2002 is because the older versions don't support XP NTFS.
Does anyone know a way of getting around this? It's so unnecessary. Perhaps Symantec just want me to dump Ghost altogether and go for Drive Image instead.
